History:

Montvale is a small borough of approximately 4 square miles ideally situated in the picturesque Pascack Valley of northeastern Bergen County, bordering on New York State. The residents enjoy a high quality of life with fine schools and recreation programs, and easy access to area shopping and cultural activities. The new Municipal Complex houses a state of the art Library, hi-tech Police Station and new Borough Hall. There are many new developments being built in Montvale from townhouses, single-family homes to senior housing. The Borough is in the process of constructing a New Senior Center downtown.
